Storing your infusions:

Container: Store your infused butter or oil in an airtight container to prevent oxidation and moisture from affecting its potency and flavor.

Refrigeration: It's best to store cannabis-infused butters and oils in the refrigerator to prolong their shelf life. The cool temperature helps prevent the growth of mold and bacteria.

Labeling: Clearly label your infused butter or oil with the date of preparation and the type and potency of cannabis used. This helps you keep track of its freshness and potency over time.

Shelf Life: Cannabis-infused butters and oils can typically last for several weeks to a few months when stored properly in the refrigerator. However, their shelf life can vary depending on factors such as the type of oil or butter used, the quality of cannabis, and how well it was infused and stored.

Quality Check: Before using your infused butter or oil, perform a visual and smell check. Look for any signs of mold, discoloration, or off-putting odors. If it looks or smells off, it's best to discard it.

Freezing: If you won't be using your infused butter or oil within a few weeks, you can extend its shelf life by freezing it. Portion it into smaller servings and store them in freezer-safe containers or bags. When ready to use, thaw only the amount you need.

Safe Handling: Always practice safe handling and storage practices with cannabis-infused products, especially if there are children or pets in the household. Keep them out of reach and clearly labeled to avoid accidental ingestion.

Following these guidelines will help ensure that your cannabis-infused butters and oils stay fresh, potent, and safe for consumption over their shelf life.
